The Administrative Nursing Supervisor provides leadership and is responsible for the delivery of safe, quality, patient-centered care for assigned department/shift.  Ensures department's standard of nursing practice, nursing policies and procedures meet legal, and all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.

Qualifications

Education

  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required;  BSN preferred
 
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years previous clinical RN experience in a hospital environment required.
  • Two years prior experience in a supervisory and/or management role preferred.
  • Critical Care experience preferred.
 
Licensure/Certification
  • Current FL State RN License required or appropriate compact licensure.  If compact license held, active Florida RN license required within 90 days of hire. 
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) required within 60 days of hire. 
  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
