Seeking a Research Assistant for our Austin Heart Central practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role:
1.Assist Research staff with clerical duties such as mailing, copying, faxing, sorting, and filing.
2.Assist Research Department with scheduling follow-up visits, diagnostic testing, etc. as directed by protocols.
3.Learn and assist with regulatory management of various protocols.
4.Assist Research Department Supervisor with projects as directed (referral tracking, inclusion/exclusion handouts, etc.)
5.Assist coordinators with projects as directed (follow-up schedules, CRF completion, etc.)
6.Assist with patient management (follow-up visits, diagnostic testing, phlebotomy, laboratory processing, informed consent, etc.) as directed.
7.Assist with collection of source documentation and creation of source documents.
OTHER DUTIES:
1. Sort and distribute incoming mail, faxes, packages, etc.
2. Assist with materials management /ordering supplies for the Research
Department.
3. Collaborate with Research team to meet the needs of the department.
4. Maintains patient confidentiality.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.
What Qualifications you will need:
·One year of experience in patient care is highly preferred
·Active and unrevoked medical assistant certification is highly preferred
