  1. Assist in achieving/maintaining quality standards necessary for certifications/accreditations.
  2. Develops studies of quality/quality improvements related to cancer program.
  3. Implements data collection and evaluation for identified studies/quality improvement projects
  4. Is identified as the liaison for surveys involving the cancer program
  5. Reports cancer center quality goals and project results to facility wide quality council as requested.
  6. Utilizes available oncology-related standards/guidelines (NCCN, ONS, etc.) to identify Medical and Nursing Performance Improvement (PI) opportunities.
  7. Provides reports for the Cancer Committee, Breast Leadership Committee, and all other quality meetings as requested.
  8. Provides reports for Oncology Nursing Service related to Nursing Staff activities.
  9. Reviews all occurrence reports for oncology, discusses at quality meetings, and develops a plan for improvement
  10. Works collaboratively with Risk Management.
  11. Supports and/or leads organizational and department specific activities outside of usual scope (e.g. outreach events), as assigned.



Education: Bachelor’s degree

Experience:  At least 3 years hospital experience; oncology nursing preferred

Certifications:  BLS, OCN preferred (nursing)
