Position Summary:

Works under the direction of the Supervisor. Performs a variety of housekeeping services necessary to insure a clean, safe hospital.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

Experience:
  • A minimum of one year of housekeeping experience, preferably in a health care setting.

Special Qualifications:
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

  • Capable of working independently, setting priorities, and being flexible

  • Must be able to perform cleaning duties including stooping, using a mop, polishing and bending, cleaning and making a bed.

  • Must be able to move arms above the head, lift, and push a cleaning cart.

  • Must be able to work with disinfectants and other cleaning chemicals according to procedures on a daily basis.

  • Must be able to climb ladders of up to six feet.

  • Must be able to use housekeeping equipment, such as vacuums or other tools to perform daily tasks.
