Job Summary and Qualifications

The Manager of Administrative Services supports the Administrative Officers in their daily operations and performs full range of administrative office duties necessary for the efficient operation of the Administration Department.

  • You will accomplish goals for personal/departmental/hospital performance improvement.
  • You will manage operational issues and activities for Administration. Provide leadership, managerial support and guidance for facility executive admins and department-based admins.
  • You will participate and manage projects as dictated by the needs and goals of the facility and organization.
  • You will perform office management functions to ensure continuous maintenance and functionality of space, equipment and devices.
  • You will prepare materials and participate in all events and meetings pertaining to the governing body of the hospital, including regular bylaws review.
  • You will write minutes and maintain materials that are legal documents.
  • You will prepare and execute large and medium-sized meetings or events to accomplish various objectives including routine operations, education/development, employee/leader appreciation, and community outreach.
  • You will maintain electronic calendars and ensure scheduling and planning of all internal and external meetings/events for Administration. Coordinate work travel when necessary.
  • You will maintain an organized file system for both paper and digital files to adhere to records management requirements. Coordinate off-site maintenance of records on routine basis.
  • You will complete monthly expense reports for office purchase card and meeting card. Serve as delegate for assigned executive expense reconciliation.
  • You will conduct annual performance evaluations on assigned personnel according to the established time frame.

What qualifications you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience in administration within a hospital or healthcare facility
  • Excellent prioritization, time management, organizational, interpersonal, and telephone skills; excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Sharepoint).
  • Bachelors degree- preferred

St. David’s Medical Center is a full-service hospital located in central Austin, Texas. This 300+ bed facility features a 24-hour emergency department, the region’s largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and the internationally-renowned Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute and St. David’s Neuroscience & Spine Institute. The full scope of services provided at St. David’s Medical Center includes cancer care, heart and vascular care, imaging services, joint replacement and orthopedics, women’s services, complex surgical services, and a Bariatric Surgery Center. The facility is home to a 60+ bed rehabilitation hospital providing both inpatient and outpatient comprehensive care.
