Job Summary and Qualifications

The Cloud Developer will design, develop, document, and test new and existing software systems and/or applications and services for internal use. Qualified individuals will possess a deep knowledge of APIs, CI/CD processes, Cloud, and Infrastructure As Code, employing architectural skills to craft scalable solutions easily deployed to company applications. Serve as a technical representative on development projects. Consult with end users to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs. Consult with development teams on best practices. Career-Development position within field. Requires moderate skill sets and developing proficiency within discipline. Conducts tasks and assignments as directed. Works with moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment.

What you will do in this role:

  • Convert existing UCS Director Workflows to a supported technology, such as Ansible
  • Create Infrastructure Utilization Dashboards and Automated Reports
  • Refactor some existing applications to work in Azure
  • Serve as a liaison between Parallon development/application teams and the HCA Public Cloud Team
  • Consult with and/or train other development teams on new technologies

Qualifications you will need

  • 5 years of experience
  • Extensive knowledge of at least one programming language relevant to application development in Openshift, Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Kubernetes.
  • Prior experience working with Development teams.
  • Knowledge of Git or other version control systems
  • Ability to create and maintain database queries
  • Knowledge of or experience with Docker
  • Ability to communicate effectively with development team members and management
  • Ability to learn and assimilate new development languages or technologies
  • Ability to be an effective member of teams
  • Ability to work with moderate supervision
  • Experience working with APIs, either integrating a third-party API or creating your own when necessary.
  • Facility with source control, as used in multi-developer projects.
  • Experience participating in code reviews.
  • Analyze business requirements and technical requirements in order to develop and enhance complex code
  • ┬ĚPreference will be given to candidates with experience with VMWare, Pure, NetApp, Nutanix, and Cisco UCS Server products, but such experience is not required.
