SCHEDULE: Full-time


The Director of Rehab Provides leadership of the rehabilitative services function, clinical services and programs. Ensures the selection , retention  and assignment of competent workforce to ensure effective delivery of departmental services.  Demonstrates accountability for maintaining and monitoring utilization of resources, physical space, equipment,  department protocols, standards,  policies, and  practices.

Fawcett Memorial Hospital is a 237-bed, full-service acute care hospital serving Charlotte County and the surrounding areas since 1975.  Port Charlotte is located where the Peace River meets the Gulf of Mexico, just north of Fort Myers and south of Sarasota. Numerous waterfront communities, art and cultural programs, spring training and pristine nature year-round, make it a beautiful Florida destination.

Fawcett features a state-of-the-art open heart surgery program and is consistently ranked as an America’s Top 100 Hospital by Healthgrades.  Clinical specialties include an ER, accredited Community Cancer Program, Advanced Primary Stroke Center, Joint Commission certified Orthopedic and Spine Center, wound and hyperbaric medicine, minimally invasive surgery, CARF accredited inpatient rehabilitation, and many outpatient programs.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy.

Experience:

Minimum of five years experience as a PT, OT, or ST. Previous experience in rehabilitation management required. Knowledge of therapy equipment required. Knowledge of State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations.

License/Registration:

Current FL Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy license required.

Certifications:

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
