JOB SUMMARY

The Software Engineer plays a hands-on role in the architecture, design, and implementation of our thought-leading clinically-integrated business platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The key responsibilities for the Software Engineer are to design and produce thoughtful, efficient, high quality code without over-engineering features of minimal business value.

DUTIES (included but not limited to) 

  • Participate in the architecture, design and development of front-end and backend-end applications
  • Take an active role in feature definition and analysis
  • Produce high quality code that conforms to design and functional requirements
  • Provide support to other development engineers, QA personnel, product management in areas of expertise
  • Present information on projects, initiatives or other subjects to peers and upper management
  • Code review software changes made by peers

  • Strong Development skills with .Net Core or Node
  • Extensive experience with React or Angular (React preferred)
  • Experience with SQL
  • Solid expertise in developing highly-available and scalable cloud-based applications
  • Familiarity with all phases of product development lifecycle, including prototyping, development, test, product release and sustaining engineering
  • Familiarity with source code control systems such as git
  • Experience with Analytics/Reporting applications preferred
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies as well as software planning and estimation techniques is highly desirable
  • Experience with network protocols, firewalls, and associated technologies is a plus
  • Experience with HL7 or other healthcare integration is a plus
  • Linux development and basic admin experience is a plus

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or equivalent combined education and experience required

EXPERIENCE    

  • 3 years relevant work experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS – Work is performed in a normal office environment.  Requires sitting for long periods of time.  Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a telephone, keyboard, calculator, and other office equipment.  Work is often performed under stressful situations.  Some travel required.

OSHA CATEGORY – The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues (although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposure to body fluids).  Persons who perform these duties are not called upon as part of their employment to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid, or to be potentially exposed in some other way.
