SUMMARY:

This positions reports to the Vice President of Employer & Broker Solutions (EBS) .The position is responsible for employer and broker outreach engagement to allow for commercial access to be maintained and grown in existing and new touchpoints as the healthcare industry evolves. Additional responsible include the development of a sales program around urgent care centers as well.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Responsible for supporting sales/marketing activities of partner insurance plans, networking with employers, and establishing broker relationships.
2.Responsibilities include developing employer and broker relationships at local market levels and gathering intelligence to assist in development of market driven solutions for employers and brokers.
3.Position will develop and implement a sales program to assist urgent care centers (CareNow) with employer contracting.
4.The position is responsible for implementation of a broker and employer platform.
5.Knowledge of health and ancillary benefit design and of all employer segments and employer trends is necessary.
6.Experience with using employer and broker data sources and must be able to work with analytics and spreadsheets. Additionally experience with health benefit RFPS issued by consultants and employers is required.
7.Tracks sales and membership results of insurance plans, narrow network products, Health Exchange membership, and reports trends to division and hospital administration.
8.Maintain current knowledge of State and Federal regulations, laws and legislative agendas regarding the healthcare industry, paying particular attention to those that involve healthcare reform, employers and brokers and health insurance.
9.Accountable for development of new business through local target employers, insurance brokers, and partner insurance plans.
10.Conduct presentations, hospital site visits, and prepare and distribute marketing materials.
11.Ability to lead sales presentations, including both development of material and polished presentation skills.
12.Works with division leadership to develop appropriate messages for all internal and external audiences.
13.Distributes hospital and managed care communications to target audiences (external and internal).
14.Communicates and updates objectives, issues, and strategies with division leadership on a regular basis.Maintains positive relationship with hospital leadership and supports facility’s annual growth objectives.
15.Supports joint marketing activities with partner insurance plans in association with open enrollment periods, sales, issue management, etc.
16.Tracks sales and membership results of insurance plans and reports trends to Division and hospital administration.
17.Represents division in marketing/sales presentations to health plans, brokers, and local employers.
18.Maintains target employer list, including tracking health plan selections, enrollment, and broker affiliation.
19.Maintains a positive working relationship and image for HCA Division with brokers, all insurance plans, and employers in the community and surrounding areas.
20.Works independently with a minimum of supervision.
21.Ability to coordinate and manage complex projects and multiple tasks.
22.Knowledge of healthcare industry and related issues.
23.Ability to write and communicate verbally in a concise and convincing manner; excellent proof-reading skills.
24.Maintains warm, sensitive and cooperative relationships with brokers, insurance plans, co-workers, other employees, administration, medical staff, etc.
25.Completes continuing education, in-service training, technical updates and other activities to assure continued competency.
26.Develop and maintain C-level relationships with payers.Facilitate introductions of payer C-level executives to Division and Facility executives.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree is mandatory for this position. 

EXPERIENCE:
Seven years+ previous experience in business development, sales, marketing, or public relations; healthcare related experience preferred.
Experience in working with employers or brokers and an understanding of the healthcare industry preferred. Advanced degree and professional certification preferred.
