Cook/St. Marks Hospital
Under the direct supervision of the Food Manager or Supervisor, the Cook prepares and cooks a variety of food items, using appropriate methods, for the consumption of patients, physicians, and cafeteria patrons. Assists in setting up and preparing special functions. As assigned, meets food needs/requests of physicians in the designated lounge area. Prepares food according to established standards, including standardized recipes, and evaluates results. Assists in the development and implementation of recipes, menus, food preparation guidelines, policies/procedures, etc. Handles food appropriately and in accordance with sanitation and safety standards. Applies knowledge and experience in food preparation. Performs other duties as requested.
