Putnam Community Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Employee Health to join a dynamic team and top notch facility!

A 99-bed, acute care facility, located at 611 Zeagler Drive, in Palatka, provides the latest technology with the assurance of highly trained, caring professionals to the residents of Putnam County. The hospital serves North Central Florida with a full complement of quality healthcare services while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
 
The hospital provides individualized care directed to the specific needs of each patient. Putnam Community Medical Center offers an Intensive/Critical Care Unit, Step-Down Care Unit, Cardiac Cath Lab, medical and surgical units, family birthplace center, and a 24-hour emergency department. We also provide inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services.

BASIC FUNCTION:

  • Support PCMC’s hallmarks of service excellence and quality for all job responsibilities
  • The Employee Health Nurse is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementation of employee health, which includes workers compensation processes and pre-employment screens with the focus on having a safe and healthy staff.

SIGNIFICANT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consistently deliver the best in customer service and patient care.  As a team member, demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with patients, families, visitors and other employees
  • Champion PCMC’s mission, vision and values; comply with the policies and procedures, ethical standards and code of conduct set forth by the company
  • Perform pre-employment drug testing, OSHA fit testing, drug screens, Tuberculin skins tests, etc.
  • Maintains employee health files.
  • Establishes and enforces accepted safety practices for employees, patients and hospital.
  • Identifies employee injuries and workers compensation claims and processes accordingly.
  • Ensures OSHA employee health protocols are followed by, providing education and notification to employees on proper health screening and testing for TB, administration of Hepatitis B and Tdap vaccine and follow upon exposure of other illnesses.
  • Be part of an interdisciplinary care team working with Infection Control Director and on several different committees including hospital safety committee and Infection control committee.
  • Assist with orientation and training of employees.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education: Graduate from nursing school

Experience: minimum 2 years nursing experience, Employee Health Nurse experience preferred

 

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire, BLS
