Job Description:
Provides indirect patient care in the Radiology.  Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff.  Implements directions from physicians and nursing staff.
  • Enters and verifies orders, patient information and to retrieve results and other information in the Meditech computer system.
  • Answers telephone using hospital telephone etiquette and uses intercom in a polite manner and communicates information to the appropriate personnel or family.
  • Maintains daily Imaging Services telephone log. Places calls as requested to physicians and documents all calls.
  • Maintains and cleans work area.


  • High school graduate or equivalent with one to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Medical terminology preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Medical terminology.
