We are seeking a Housekeeping Assistant for our hospital to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. As an Environmental Services/Housekeeping Assistant, you will act as an ambassador and support the mission of our Hospital by optimizing the quality of life of our patients. Your duties will also include (but not be limited to): 

Provide daily oversight to EVS employees

  • Assist in training of new staff and ensure that quality standards for the department are met
  • Report deficiencies or other needs to the Supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications you will need for this role:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in a leadership role preferred
  • One or more years of housekeeping experience in the Hospital/medical setting preferred
  • Knowledge of housekeeping techniques
  • Must have good verbal communication skills as well as oral and written communication skills
  • Must be familiar with basic operations of housekeeping equipment
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks at the same time
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • Must possess strong planning, organization, managing, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work effectively under pressure to meet established goals and objectives
  • Must demonstrate personal and professional integrity
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve problems in a positive manner
  • Requires frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of equipment up to 50 pounds and sufficient manual dexterity to operate therapeutic equipment.
