Works under the direction of the Supervisor. Performs a variety of housekeeping services necessary to insure a clean, safe hospital.
Reports To: Environmental Services Manager/Supervisor
A minimum of one year of housekeeping experience, preferably in a health care setting.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Capable of working independently, setting priorities, and being flexible
Must be able to perform cleaning duties including stooping, using a mop, polishing and bending, cleaning and making a bed.
Must be able to move arms above the head, lift, and push a cleaning cart.
Must be able to work with disinfectants and other cleaning chemicals according to procedures on a daily basis.
Must be able to climb ladders of up to six feet.
Must be able to use housekeeping equipment, such as vacuums or other tools to perform daily tasks.
