We are looking for a dedicated Regional Director of Quality and Patient Safety like you to be a part of our team.  As a Regional Director of Quality and Patient Safety you will contribute to the company’s mission and vision by driving successful outcomes, regulatory compliance and communication of the Ambulatory Surgery Division (ASD). This is a remote position that will support a portfolio of centers and will involve significant travel. 

What you will do in this role: 

  • Collaborates with National Medical Director, Regional Medical Directors, SVPs, and VPOs in developing programs designed to enhance quality of care, process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Promotes a culture of patient safety through staff empowerment. Collaborates with medical services vendor-designated quality and safety improvement personnel.    
  • Provides subject matter expertise in the science of patient safety including but not limited to:  culture of safety, quality improvement, risk management, high reliability and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead change by empowering other leaders within the assigned region, developing skills and promoting ownership for initiatives and results. 
  • Lead patient safety activities creating ASCs that are high reliability organizations, as reflected in reduced errors, elimination of unsafe processes, and increased involvement of staff and physicians toward a culture of safety.
  • Maintains effective communication with ASD and Clinical Operations Group leaders regarding key clinical performance improvement activities and initiatives.
  • Develops, reviews, and analyzes surveys and provides guidance in the development of action plans as needed.

What qualifications you will need:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field required. 
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for degree.   
  • Minimum 5 years of related management experience involving quality improvement, leadership, and healthcare quality practices, as well as associated governing laws and regulations. 
  • Minimum 7 years direct experience in ambulatory care quality improvement preferred.
  • Active RN license
  • Ability to work remotely
