We are seeking an Nurse Residency Coordinator for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Job Summary:
  • You will actively collaborate and engage in the entire orientation/onboarding process of new Registered Nurses during the first year.  This includes participating or leading the development, coordination, managing, facilitating, conducting, and evaluating on-boarding and orientation programs for the new Registered Nurse.   
  • You will have the expertise in competency assessment in order to participate in the development, coordination, and managing, facilitating, conducting, and evaluating competency in the hospital setting.
  • You will participate in the design and identification of educational activities to address practice gaps for the new Registered Nurse in the hospital setting.
  • You will promote and integrate Evidence-based Practice (EBP) in order to continuously improve practice in the hospital setting.  
  • You will identify and develop  strategies to facilitate a continuous process of maturation through lifelong learning.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED Required. Some college with Bachelor’s Degree or higher  preferred
  • Graduate Medical Education administrative experience preferred, preferably in a Transitional Year or similar program
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Excellent presentation skills. Additional languages helpful.
  • Working knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel as requested for work-related training and program candidate recruitment.
