Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for providing clinical nutrition services, including nutrition assessment, modified diet formulation, self- management training and nutrition intervention to patients/residents. Ensures patient satisfaction, quality care, regulatory agency compliance, and good public relations are achieved through the safe and efficient use of resources.  


What you will do in this role:

  • Develops & revises a nutrition care plans based on information from the patient, medical record, family & health care team members. 
  • Maintains outpatient education program. 
  • Complies with all regulatory agency standards, including, but not limited to federal and state. 
  • Communicates effectively with all team members, patients and families through conferences, individual consultation and committee participation. 
  • Orients, mentors and trains staff as applicable. 
  • Advises department on patient care and food services issues. 
  • Plans regular and modified menus based on current diet manual. 
  • Participates in facility-wide and department Performance Improvement Programs on Performance Improvement teams to improve processes and patient care.  

What qualifications you will need:
  •   4 Year/Bachelors Degree
  •   Current Georgia Licensure in: - Registered Dietitian 
  •   1 Year Minimum in Related Role - Preferred
