As a Lactation Consultant, you will be joining a team of professionals who are dedicated to deliver excellent care to our patients.  You will enable patients to reach their goals through care specifically designed to cater to individual patient needs, and also administered by some of the most highly skilled and trained providers in the Rocky Mountain region.

 

What you will do in this role:

  • You will demonstrate advanced breastfeeding knowledge and skills in the care of families and newborns. 
  • You will deliver care based on criteria that is age appropriate and is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning needs of the family and newborn. 
  • You will be responsible for the coordination of Lactation services in the hospital; provides inpatient consultation and telephone follow up; and serves as a resource to medical and nursing staff.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. 
  • BLS through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • IBCLC certification preferred.
  • Completion of a lactation program
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years clinical experience in Perinatal nursing, including work with breastfeeding mothers and babies.
