Director – Respiratory Services (RRT)
HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe is a tertiary acute care hospital that has been serving the community for more than 75 years. It provides a 24-hour designated Level II trauma center, Level III neonatal intensive care unit, cardiac care services, women’s center, daVinci robotic surgery, neurosciences, pediatric care, rehabilitation therapy, sleep center, radiology, hyperbaric medicine, diagnostic/imaging services, and wound care facility.
HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center.
What will you do in the role?
• Manage overall clinical, quality, administrative, fiscal and human resources management aspects of Cardiopulmonary Services and take appropriate actions as necessary to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Work with administration on planning, organizing, and directing Respiratory Therapy Services ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Direct and participate in the development/revision implementation and communication of policies, guidelines and standards of Respiratory Therapy Services.
• Communicate appropriately and clearly to physicians, staff, and administrative team.
Qualifications
Education:
• Graduate from an accredited program for Respiratory is required. Bachelor’s Degree is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
What qualifications you will need:
• 5 years of experience in an acute care setting is required. Respiratory Manager experience is preferred.
• Current Texas State Respiratory License (RRT).
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support course (BLS or BCLS) and certification is required.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support course (ALS or ACLS) and certification is required.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Life Support course (PLS or PCLS) and certification is required.
