The Vice President of Emergency Services provides strategic leadership for HCA TriStar Division’s emergency services operations including financial analysis, financial management, financial planning, customer service, employee engagement, clinical excellence, capital planning, best practice, business development and strategic planning. This key leader represents HCA Tristar Division to both internal and external customers. This role is responsible for communicating with physicians, staff development and retention, developing strategic plans, creating a vision for the service line, overseeing budgets, communicating with regulatory agencies, coordinating marketing efforts and operational guidance. 

Major Responsibilites:

  • Developing and implementing business plans to support the continued growth and success of the division
  • Establishing and leading a cohesive organizational and governance structure that supports the hospitals
  • Providing operational oversight for cardiovascular clinical activities and programs
  • Ensuring the financial viability of service line specific initiatives
  • Establishing collaborative relationships with various departments and managers within the hospitals
  • Engaging and supporting researchers, physicians and other specialists as integral parts of the development of the division-wide service line for the assigned service line
  • Designing, planning and implementing programs that promote the mission of the service line and the Division to improve the health of the communities served.


Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor of Science in healthcare related field required
  • Master's degree in healthcare or business field preferred
  • 5+ years experience in leading business development, oprerations management, and/or financial/strategic planning for service line preferred
  • 5+ years of clinical experience preferred

Licenses, Certifications & Training: 

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) preferred
