Manager of Progressive Care
Medical City North Hills
 

In accordance with nursing standards, Joint Commission, Medicare, and all other applicable federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations, the Manager has the responsibility to plan and organize all unit activities by setting goals and objectives. The Manager shall assume the responsibility for the nursing care given on the designated patient care unit. The Medical City North Hills Hospital staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including the adult through geriatric.  The attached criteria based performance evaluation provides a specific set of standards as they relate to age specific competency.


Medical City North Hills is licensed for 164 beds, has over 300 physicians and 30 medical specialties. The ER has about 39,000 visits each year and is a Level III Trauma Center. We are also a Primary Stroke Center, perform Spine Surgery, and have a comprehensive Cardiovascular Services department. We are an accredited Cycle 5 Chest Pain Center with a Cardiac Rehabilitation program as well as have a Total Joint Replacement Program.

Qualifications

Education
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred

License/Certification
  • Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted; Texas State RN license required 60 days after hire date.            

  • Current ACLS and BCLS (AHA) certification

Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years nursing leadership experience
  • Nursing experience within the past five years in a related clinical area
