Registered Nurse Lactation Consultant – Full-time Day Shift 7A - 7P 

The RN Lactation Consultant provides expert care in lactation management in accordance with the International Lactation Consultant Association and Standards of Practice for International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners or The Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice code of ethics, respective of current certification.

•  Serves as an expert consultant to maternal- child staff, physicians and other healthcare professionals in the management of patients with complex breastfeeding problems

•  Participates in program management to support and encourage successful breastfeeding through the first year of life

•  Participates in program development activities to facilitate successful exclusive breastfeeding for inpatient mother/infant dad

Qualifications

What you need to be successful:

•  Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted

•  Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association required

•  Current NRP issued by the American Heart Association required

•  International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) required
