Working across our division -- including hospitals, physician practices, and service lines -- the Director of Content Marketing is responsible for supporting marketing and operational goals through the curation, development, management and distribution of content assets that will increase engagement of key audiences across digital and traditional platforms. This opportunity is for the Capital Division which encompasses 18 hospitals, including HCAs second largest facility, 400+ bed Chippenham hospital!

Content Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the AVP, Digital and Integrated Marketing, produce strategic content for:
    • websites
    • social media platforms
    • digital marketing campaigns
    • blogs
    • native and sponsored advertising
    • E-Mail marketing
  • Evaluate content channel mix and optimize messaging strategies as needed
  • Researches, identifies/develops and executes innovative content marketing strategies
  • Create economies of scale and efficiencies by repurposing content
  • Measure content ROI and campaign performance
  • Work with corporate content team in sharing of best practices and coordinating content development and management opportunities wherever appropriate
  • Understands internal and external policies, procedures, and regulations that impact the marketing environment as it relates to content marketing

  • Project manage content requests from both Division/hospital marketing directors leveraging systems and processes for prioritization
  • Ensures timely execution of content and creative in order to meet the production deadlines
  • Follows branding and identity guidelines for all content developed
  • Write, edit and proofread content for external and internal audiences



  • Work collaboratively with Division team leadership and facility marketing directors
  • Clearly communicating deadlines and progress to deadlines proactively and routinely
  • Assist the AVP in mentoring and developing content competencies in our hospital marketing directors so that we can leverage content development on-site
  • Maintains a good working relationship with leadership, consultants, vendors and hospital personnel

5+ years of experience required



Bachelor's degree required



Content marketing experience required; healthcare experience preferred
