The Patient Care Tech performs assigned tasks and activities according to skill level and patient needs as assessed by the RN. The Patient Care Tech supports nursing personnel in providing care to patients and assists with providing a safe, quiet, clean, organized environment for healthcare delivery. When the need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

This position supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora and HealthOne's free-standing 120-bed hospital in optimizing quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current CNA Colorado license and BLS certification
Education: High School Diploma or GED required
Experience: One year hospital experience preferred.
Special Qualifications: Knowledge of basic clinical practices, procedures, and standards. Ability to work with others as a team to ensure quality patient care. Basic knowledge of computer systems, order entry and good interpersonal skills. Strong critical thinking skills.
Experience in a nursing home or long term care is a plus!
