The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services. In collaboration with the RN and other members of the care team, the LVN/LPN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.

Float Pool LPN staff will be assigned to designated units throughout the hospital based upon the daily staffing needs of the facility.  The LPN will only be floated to areas for which they are qualified and competent.       

Position is built on a 12-hour day shift, 36 hours/week with an every other weekend typical rotation.

Qualifications

 EDUCATION

  •  Graduate of a Vocational Nursing School required

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION

  • Current FL LPN license required
  • Current BLS certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in acute care setting strongly preferred.
  • Customer service abilities including effective listening skills. 
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions.
  • PC skills.
