Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU/Recovery: Part-Time Days Benefits Eligible
2-10 or 12 hours shifts per week. Weekend Call (once every two months)
Under the direction of the Department Director, Manager and/or Clinical Nurse Supervisor, provides high quality, cost-effective nursing care, meeting the medical, psycho/social, spiritual, emotional and educational needs of surgery patients. Performs postoperative assessments, planning, procedures/treatments, evaluations and updates of patient plan of care that assures and maintains high quality care for all assigned patients. Provides nursing care consistent with established nursing policies, protocols, and professional standards, and acts as a patient/family advocate to assure appropriate provision of patient care and to protect patients' rights.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: 

Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.

Experience:
One (1) to two (2) years general nursing acute care experience preferred, specifically ICU, ER or Cath Lab.  Six (6) months minimum experience in perioperative setting preferred.  

Licensure/Certifications:
  • Current State of Idaho Registered Nurse Licensure.  Compact license accepted, must obtain Idaho RN license within 90 days from hire.  
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (ACLS) and Certification or obtain within six months of hire.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course and Certification or obtain within six months of hire.
