The Respiratory Therapy Department at Centennial Hospital/The Medical Center of Aurora is seeking Respiratory Care Practitioners who align with our vision of elevating the practice of Respiratory Care. We are seeking therapists who are excited to practice with autonomy, respect, and be part of a dynamic team who seek to practice at the top of license. We strive to practice evidence based medicine and are goal driven. Acting as practitioners we work hard to optimize patient care through patient advocacy and strategic physician partnerships.  At The Medical Center of Aurora you will have the opportunity to be a part of a collaborative team who continue to seek ways to improve quality outcomes as well as encouragement for career advancement. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • The RRT will provide services, timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department.
  • The RRT will perform tasks and duties as outlined in the Respiratory Care Departments Policy and Procedure Manual and will assist in assigned administrative tasks, and will maintain clinical competencies through participation in educational and orientation programs.
  • The RRT should also be able to provide advanced clinical expertise and education to departmental staff members and other members of the healthcare team.

 

The Medical Center of Aurora, the first community hospital in the Denver Metro area to receive three-time Magnet designation for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), is a 346-bed acute care hospital located in Aurora, Colorado. The Medical Center of Aurora is comprised of six campuses in Aurora and Centennial, Colo., including the Main Campus, located at Interstate 225 and Mississippi, the North Campus Behavioral Health and Wellness Center, Centennial Medical Plaza(Centennial Hospital in Spring 2021)Saddle Rock ERSpalding Rehabilitation Hospital, Spalding Rehabilitation at P/SL, and a medical office building at Green Valley Ranch. The Main Campus facility is a Level II Trauma Center with Primary Stroke Certification and Chest Pain Center accreditation, and has an affiliation with Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children as well as the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Licensure/Certification/Registration:  

  • Current Colorado Respiratory License, RRT credential
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP must be AHA or ARC

Education:                    

  • Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program                     

Experience:  

  • Two years’ recent Acute Care experience preferred
