The Staff Accountant is responsible for reconciliation and resolution of various reports for the facility.  Works closely with the Controller on projects dictated by the Department, Administration and the Corporate office. In addition, he/she will reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and provides appropriate supporting documentation, prepares and posts journal entries for month-end close and provides appropriate supporting documentation, analyzes general ledger accounts and other financial reports to assess accuracy/completeness, assists with internal and external audits, assists with the monthly, quarterly and annual Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance reporting for the hospital, assists with budget preparation, compiles statistical, accounting or auditing reports pertaining to expenditures, receivables and analysis of accounts, assist in other projects and analysis as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

  • No experience required if employee has a college degree in Accounting.  Two (2) years experience working in an accounting related field.
