This role manages all phases of Decision Support and assists the management team and key decision-makers in the strategic decision making/planning process by providing strategic analysis of hospital operations.  Key responsibilities will include:  maintenance and reporting from the cost accounting system; use of clinical and financial databases for ad-hoc reporting; preparation of monthly/yearly financial reports; participation in Division Decision Support meetings to ensure consistent reporting standards.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA or six years of equivalent experience. Graduate degree such as MBA or MHA preferred.
  • 5 years hospital operations or healthcare information management experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  Strong analytical skills and an understanding of financial operations of a hospital including strong cost accounting knowledge and proficiency with financial system applications.  Must possess a high degree of accuracy with attention to detail.   Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.  Must possess  strong excel and/or access skills including advanced functions.  Able to prioritize and accomplish multiple simultaneous projects of varying intensity and duration.
