Manager Employee Health

Medical City Plano

 

The Manager of Employee Health is responsible for coordinating the Employee Health & Safety and Injury Programs. The Employee Health Program supports the mission, vision and values of Medical City Plano and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing and promotes, advocates and supports the nursing staff’s primary commitment to protect the health, safety and rights of the individual, family or community.

  • Makes employee safety the primary goal.
  • Coordinates Employee Health Programs.
  • Participates in all aspects of prevention in the Injury Program.
  • Serves on Safety Committee.
  • Participate in health promotion/educational community involvement, life time learning and nursing research.
  • Participate in development and evaluation of professional practice by participating on unit and/or hospital committees, special projects and attendance at staff meetings and town halls.
  • Actively participate in unit and/or hospital performance improvement activities.
  • Attendance and being on time, ready to work your scheduled hours is an essential job function. 

 

 

Medical City Plano is a full-service, 513-bed acute-care facility with more than 2,070 employees and over 1,466 physicians on staff, representing over 70 specialties and sub-specialties. Our main campus in the heart of Plano includes the main hospital and medical offices, an outpatient surgery center, a comprehensive cancer-treatment center, an emergency and Level 1 trauma center, a radiology/imaging center, a comprehensive cardiovascular program, the Center for Lifestyle Enhancement, The Bariatric Institute, Wound Care Center and complete women's and children's services including a high-risk antepartum unit and a Level 3 neonatal intensive-care unit.

Qualifications

  1. POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:                                                     Graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred

    Licensure/certification/registration:          Texas State RN license or compact license required.

    Experience:                                                   3 years hospital nursing; employee health, infection control or

                                                                            Emergency experience preferred                                 

    Special Skills & Qualifications:                  Ability to listen, interact and communicate verbally in writing;

                                                                            Computer skills required
