 What you will do in this role:

To place purchase orders for non-stock items so as to maintain, at all times, an adequate amount (but not excessive) quantity of materials in inventory so that surgery demands can be met on a timely basis.  To assist Accounts Payable personnel reconciling invoices to Purchase Orders: and to maximize the utilization of Corporate Contracts while still meeting the needs of the facility for quality and timeliness of supply support.

 

  • Primary responsibility is to harvest data associated with cardiovascular care done in the Cath Lab and oversee the completion of the forms and documents associated with the Cath Lab database.
  • Collect data on all Cardiac Cath Lab procedures at HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center.
  • Report data on a regular basis while maintaining creditability and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate the process used to collect appropriate data elements throughout the episode of care including demographic data, clinical data, and outcome data.
  • Train users as required (or designated personnel to perform training function) to collect data, enter data, review data and print requested reports.
  • Generate clinical analyses using Database tools.
  • Approve and initiate requests to add items to selected databases.
  • Quality check database to ensure completeness and accuracy of data.
  • To coordinate repair of surgical instruments/equipment.
  • To evaluate Purchase Requisitions, primarily from the Cardiac Cath Lab, to determine the appropriateness of items ordered, as well as to verify the reasonableness of quantities.
  • To verify quantities of items “on the shelf”, in the Cath Lab, and to generate Purchase Orders, as required, to effectively and expeditiously support the facility.
  • To continually update Item Maintenance Screens to ensure accuracy of the information available.
  • To maximize utilization of Corporate Contract Vendors when placing Purchase Orders.
  • To coordinate the return of Cath Lab stock and non-stock items when necessity dictates such returns.
  • Assist with Kronos on a daily basis
  • Assist the unit secretary/scheduler as needed
 

Qualifications

Education

Required Licensure: Current certification, registration or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (RT), Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS.

What qualification you will need:

  • 1 year experience in special procedures
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification

  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification
