The Diaster Program Manager manages the hospital disaster program to assure safety during a disaster and proper level of support to the hospital and community during a disaster. Assures compliance with regulatory requirements and assures good disaster practices through policy development and staff education.

  • Documents disaster program and policies for the hospital
  • Leads the decontamination team—development, staffing and training.
  • Manages emergency preparedness activities for hospital in collaboration with local agencies
  • Attends critical community coordination meetings and collaborates on drills/exercises.
  • Trains hospital staff on disaster organization and responsibilities.
  • Manages government funding programs and disaster supplies inventories.
  • Develops agendas for emergency management committee meeting and leads discussions/decisions.
  • Revises emergency policies as required.
  • Ensures that staff and leaders are prepared to respond effectively to All Hazard disaster events
  • Ensures hospital is TJC and CMS compliant at all times from an Emergency Management perspective
  • This position is based at Plano but oversees emergency management program for both Medical City Plano and Frisco hospitals




  • Bachelors Degree, Emergency Management or related field
  • FEMA 100, 200, 700, and 800

  • 3 years in clinical care or disaster planning related.
