Medical City Dallas opened  brand new Heart and Spine Hospitals October 2019 as destination hospitals for highly specialized advanced cardiovascular and spine care. The new facilities are located near Medical City Dallas across Hwy. 75 and Forest Lane.

Medical City Heart Hospital will have 63 private patient rooms and provide a wide array of cardiac services including complex vascular and heart surgery, advanced heart failure treatment, minimally invasive vascular surgery and other specialized heart care. The facility will also have the only dedicated cardiac emergency room in Dallas.
 
The 24-bed Medical City Spine Hospital will provide comprehensive and coordinated spine care for common spine disorders and rare, hard-to-treat spinal deformities including adult and pediatric scoliosis, spondylolistheses, complex spine surgery and minimally invasive surgical options among others. Nationally recognized board-certified, fellowship-trained surgeons with more than 40 years of groundbreaking experience will conduct industry-leading scoliosis research.
 
The Receiving and Storing Tech is responsible for the following duties:
  • Receives food & supplies daily from vendors in an accurate & timely manner.
  • Follows HACCP guidelines by:
  • Checking temperatures of food trucks, rejects if outside of safetemperature range. Takes appropriate corrective action,documents on log.Spot checks food items for temperature compliance, rejects ifout of safe range, takes corrective action and documents on log.Ensures food items are stored according to HACCP guidelines.
  • Ensures all storage areas are maintained in a clean & orderly manner
  • according to regulatory guidelines.
  • Place all food & supply items in proper locations, rotates using FIFO to
  • maintain quality and food safety. Ensures no items are out of date.
  • Removes all returns, dented cans, etc. from storage areas to proper
  • location, records on appropriate log.
  • Distributes necessary food to appropriate production areas.
  • Ensures food items are placed on thawing rack appropriately to ensure
  • food safety.
  • Communicates all substitutions and/or shortages to Chef Supervisor or
  • Executive Chef.
  • Assists with monthly inventory.
  • Assists with daily orders.
  • Assists in maintaining all kitchen utensils, equipment and physical
  • surfaces in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Assists with emergency supplies as needed

Qualifications

 

 

Education and Experience:

  • Some college courses preferred
  • Prior food service experience in a high volume restaurant, hotel or cafeteria
  • Prior receiving experience in a high volume environment preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English.

 

Licensure / Certification/s:

  • Food Service handler’s certification through the Texas Department of Health is preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be detail oriented, organized and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal & written, ability to speak,read and write in English.
  • Interpersonal skills- able to work effectively with staff, supervisors and vendors
  •  Customer service oriented
  • Extensive knowledge of food products.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures
