Facility Description:

Clinical Education Department Description: The HCA Center for Clinical Advancement (CCA) is part of our strategic nursing initiative to create an organizational structure (shared services) focused specifically on clinical education. The CCA will develop and deploy consistent world-class curriculum, content, and programs across HCA's 178 acute care facilities nationwide. The strategy of our center shared services implementation focuses on our amazing clinical educators dedicating their time in high value-add, top of skill efforts with our clinicians. To aid in this effort, HCA will leverage size and scale to share clinical education best practices across the enterprise and help make decisions that will positively impact our patient outcomes.

Position Summary:

The Admin Assistant Simulation will manage a range of administrative support tasks as they relate to the daily operational needs of the simulation center while consistently displaying an upbeat, accommodating attitude and solid work ethic. This position is the face of the center and the entry point to all colleagues across the multiple lines of business and facility support matrix.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and collaboration through promoting cooperation and commitment
  • Advance quality administrative and clerical support
  • Perform effective and efficient support for event and meeting planning and the simulation center

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (GED)
  • Associate’s Degree highly preferred
  • 2 years of professional experience in a healthcare setting highly preferred
  • Trained on how to use Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe Pro at an intermediate level
  • Prior use of systems: Visio, PowerPoint, Concur, SharePoint and Kronos     
  • Knowledge of business and administrative functions including basic office equipment
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive work relationships with others in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, verbal, written and organizational skills
  • Ability to cope with high volume and maintain professionalism, composure and time management skills with frequent interruptions
  • Utilizes critical thinking skills to aid in identifying alternate solutions and approaches to diverse situations
  • Monitors own work to ensure quality and apply feedback to improve performance
  • Ability to work independently; plan, organize, prioritize, and manage competing assignments resourcefully and successfully
  • Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and systems
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
