Endoscopy Tech 

Under the supervision of the RN, provides selected care for patients for Endoscopic procedures and assists with the preparation/processing of equipment and supplies.                                                                                  

 

  • Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in the collection, recording, and reporting patient data in accordance with department standards.  
  • Handles and prepares specimens obtained during the procedure in a timely manner and in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Selects, assembles, tests and operates equipment and instruments in accordance with departmental policy and procedure.
  • Directs and supports staff member in meeting the epectaions for quality patient can and professional behavior.
  • Assist with scheduling, setting assignments, interviewing, selection and evaluation of staff.
  • Functions as a resource fo rthe team willingly sharing knowledge and eppertise.

 

 Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years as an Endoscopy Technician
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association
  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
