Division Director Cardiovascular Quality & Operations Improvement

In this Division Director Cardiovascular Quality Operations role you will:

  • Be responsible for management, analysis, and improvement of specific measures, which track clinical performance for patient care services.
  • Collaborate with facility leadership to achieve clinical excellence in designated measures through variance analysis, staff education and process improvement.
  • Recognize and share best practices for associated measures and assist with the development of facility metrics improvement plans.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and review accuracy of CDRA information and proficiency within the required data abstraction tools.
  • Collaborate with facilities to track and validate data accuracy and timeliness in accordance with HCA policies and procedures (in partnership with CDRA) and perform quality assurance tasks such as inter rater reliability and validity. 
  • Communicate medical record status and key project issues to management as needed, be familiar with medical terminology and basic medical record design and requirements.
  • Utilize basic computer skills to include the navigation of several electronic databases (HealthView Analytics, IQVIA, Horizon Patient Folder/MPF, EPIC, MEDITECH, EXCEL, PowerPoint).

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
    • Associate's Degree must be accompanies with minimum 10 years of experience in quality or performance improvement functions in a cardiovascular care setting.
    • With Bachelor's Degree, minimum 7 years in quality or performance improvement functions, with 1-2 years of experience in a cardiovascular care setting, including exposure to clinical record documentation.
  • Current RN licensure preferred.
  • RHIT certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience.
