Job Summary:

  • In this role, you will provide direction and leadership for Engineering, Biomed, Security and Emergency Management. This includes overseeing the Biomedical contract services and act as a liaison for it.
  • You will oversee and assist in compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies pertaining to the Environment of Care, Life Safety, code compliance and building maintenance. Examples include, but are not limited to CMS, Joint Commission, OSHA, and NFPA.
  • As an appointed Safety Officer for the hospital, you will maintain a safe working environment, enforcing hospital and department safety regulations and oversee financial management of the departments including day-to-day operations and construction budgets.
  • You will manage the renovation/construction of hospital facilities as well as all outlying clinics, medical offices, etc. as required and act as liaison from hospital for all major construction projects.
  • In this leadership position, you will supervise the administrative management of the departments, and manage department personnel. You must be familiar with the operation of the facility and be able to function in an appropriate staff capacity as scheduling and patient needs demands.


  • You will maintain familiarity with all plant assets and infrastructures, recommending and prioritizing repairs and maintenance for both short term and long term needs. In addition you will supervise quality improvement activities and participate in hospital quality improvement efforts.







  • 5 years directly related engineering experience


  • 3 years of management/supervision/administrative experience in a healthcare setting. Joint Commission experience is also preferred.




  • Electrical/Mechanical degree or equivalent experience


  • Additional trade schools and other related courses
