Medical Assistant - Mission Urology - Physician Practice

Full-Time - Days

This position is located within a busy specialty physician practice that is part of the North Carolina Division of HCA Healthcare, in Asheville, NC. The Certified Medical Assistant is rounding on patients, completing intakes, collecting vital sign data, and preparing patients for in-office procedures. The successful candidate will have experience working in a physician practice environment; however, we may also consider candidates who are willing to learn. This office features driven healthcare professionals who are part of a high-functioning team, though individuals are self-starters who are able to work independently in their respective scopes and roles.

JOB SUMMARY: Provides medical assistance under the direction of licensed personnel. Coordinates clinic patient flow, patient work-ups, exam room prep, and performs basic patient care activities. Ensures quality and continuity of care by communicating patient care information to the appropriate parties.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: High School or GED

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associates Degree or Bachelors degree
