Overview
This position is to assist with our Orthopedic Program, and would primarily involve performing Same-Day PT Evaluations on Orthopedic Total Joint Surgery patients. At least one year of PT experience required, preferably in Orthopedics. Will need to function somewhat autonomously with patients with high level of acuity. Hours can be somewhat flexible, but schedule on select days would end at 8:30pm - 2nd shift differential provided for late days. Also one weekend day as part of weekly schedule.
The Physical Therapist evaluates patients, develops care plan to treat patients, uses procedures and techniques to change condition/function consistent with the rehabilitation diagnosis and prognosis, supervises and coordinates therapeutic care and communicates evaluation results to patients, families and appropriate staff in the outpatient setting. Teaches and mentors other staff and participates in the management of resources for patient care and organizational improvement. May provide services in acute care within the scope of the job description as needed by the department.
