The Memorial Dwaine and Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah is the only children’s hospital in southeast Georgia. From the tiniest preemies to the toughest teens, we offer a variety of crucial services. Our expert team provides well-child visits, comprehensive rehabilitation services, surgical care, hematology/oncology, critical care, disease management, child life services and much more. We care for more than 50,000 patients a year.

Our current, 20-bed pediatric unit has a team of specially trained physicians, nurses and child life specialists. We strive to provide state-of-the-art care in a child and family friendly environment. Children in this unit may have anything from a stomach bug and dehydration to an infection requiring IV antibiotics. The medical care team on this unit is equipped to deal with a wide variety of childhood illnesses and injuries. Our 22-bed pediatric special care unit (PSU) is for children who need to stay in the hospital to receive cancer treatment or recover from surgery. The PSU team includes specially certified hematology/oncology physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists and child life specialists. They work together to ensure the best possible outcome for every child.  

We are seeking a Imaging Tech to join the patient-centered Children's Hosptial team, responsible for performing CT and diagnostic x-ray procedures as outlined by the radiologist.  This is a Friday through Sunday, night shift (7p-730a) position.

Working under the direction of the medical imaging management team, you will directly impact patient care through your knowledge, skills and abilities in diagnostic imaging, scheduling, transporting and maintaining inventory.

 
What you will do in this role:
  • You will operate diagnostic equipment, verify images and prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that proper diagnostic information is provided through the production of high-quality CT Scans and X-Rays
  • You will perform CT exams and X-rays on a variety of different body parts in a timely manner.
  • You will complete appropriate history forms and technologist exam sheet.
  • You will start I.V.s and check labs as needed.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiography program.
  • RT and CT certification within 6 months of hire is required. 
  • GA ARRT is required. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in CT and X-ray is preferred.
