  • Under the general direction of the Cardiology Director and the Medical Director, the Cardiovascular Technology Program Director is responsible for the direction, coordination and daily operation of the School of Cardiovascular Technology. 
  • Duties include curriculum development, didactic /clinical instructions, student supervision, student evaluation, academic counseling and coordination of various clinical sites.
  • The Cardiovascular Technology Program Director assesses and insures the effectiveness of the overall program in Cardiovascular Technology and maintains all standards for accreditation by the JRC-CVT.



What Qualifications You Will Need:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology and having passed the Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) exam and/or graduate from accredited school of Radiologic Technology program and having passed the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) exam, followed by specific training in Cath Lab.
  • Familiar with standards needed for accreditation by JRC-CVT.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an ARRT/RCIS
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an instructor in the cardiac catheterization lab
  • American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Cath Lab c-arms, Hybrid lab c-arms, Electrophysiology Lab c-arms, calibration equipment, patient-monitoring equipment, computers, RIS/HIS, PACS, Merge, OnBase, phone, fax, overhead projector and pagers
