Galen College of Nursing is currently seeking committed, engaged, creative adjunct online faculty who want to profoundly influence nursing student success and partake and engage in the full scope of the Arts and Science Faculty role.  Adjunct faculty are hired on a semester by semester basis, contingent upon the needs of the school.  We offer day, evening, and weekend classes.  Classes are offered at various time during the academic year.  


We are looking for an instructor with expertise in the area of Philosophy to teach in our arts and science department


Responsibilities:

  • Participating in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation
  • Use teaching strategies based on educational theory and evidence-based practice
  • Provide resources to students that help meet their individual learning needs
  • Participate in evaluation of the program outcomes
  • Engage in scholarship

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Philosophy or a Master’s with a minimum of 18 Graduate hours in subject area or Terminal degree in field
  • Past online teaching experience
  • Rich and deep experiential knowledge of subject area
  • Access to broadband internet
  • Engaging oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively and work collaboratively with a virtual team
  • Passionate about making a difference in the students’ lives

Work Schedule & Conditions:

Hours will vary depending on class time. Instructors are required to meet with classes at all scheduled times and be available to students outside of class instruction.
