We are searching for a Medical Surgical Nurse for our Float Pool!

Fulltime nights with rotating weekends

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Registered Nurse performs the active nursing process consisting of the functions of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients.  May assume the role as Team Leader for part or duration of shift

Medical Surgical Float Pool Department Information:

  • High Acuity in Medical Surgical areas.
  • Patient rounding by leaders daily
  • Level II Trauma Center
  • Average of over 300 patient visits per day/77 bed ED department with room to grow
  • Computerized Charting
  • Excellent Leadership and Staff to work with, very fast pace
  • Must be flexible, dependable, great attitude, team environment
  • Twelve hours shifts

We are looking for a dynamic candidate who enjoys working in a teamwork environment and has a positive attitude.  Providing exemplary customer service to both patients and their families and one another.

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
  • BSN preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year RN experience in an acute care facility preferred
  • Acute Care Medical Surgical experience is preferred

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada. 
  • Independently maintains license and acquires required contact hours to maintain practice. 
  • Acquires required contact hours to maintain practice
  • Specially certification where required; example:  Chemotherapy, BLS, ACLS

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic computer and hospital informatics skills required
  • Complies with hospital employee health, infection control and safety management programs

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

 

Sunrise Hospital, Nevada’s largest acute care facility and Level II Trauma Center, now features a new and expanded trauma and emergency department, doubling the square footage of Sunrise Hospital’s adult ER, while Sunrise Children’s Hospital’s ER will grow in the coming months. A new ambulance bay can serve up to 17 ambulances, while a new helipad supports total maximum takeoff weight of 22,000 pounds, large enough to land a Black Hawk or Boeing Chinook helicopter. With 36 private Intensive Care Unit (ICU) rooms and a 36-bed inpatient surgical unit, Sunrise Hospital has grown its capacity to 762 beds.
