As a Recreational Therapist in Behavioral Health at our facility you will be joining a team that has a passion for creating positive patient interactions and a dedication to caring for the multi-faceted wellness of those we serve. In this role:
You will develop and implement activities for patients to help foster self-awareness, increase social skills, and promote healthy creativity to effectively reduce anxiety, increase self-esteem, and manage behaviors.
You will be responsible for assessing patient needs and completing patient assessments.
You will plan and implement regular groups to meet the needs of patients.
You will evaluate and document treatment goals and outcomes related to groups and patient involvement.

Current CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist), MT-BC (Music Therapist-Board Certified), ATR-BC (Art Therapist-Board Certified) or BC-DMT (Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist).
American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
Certification in Non Violent Physical Crisis Intervention (CPI) within 90 days of hire.
One year experience working in therapeutic recreational programs preferred. Mental Health and/or chemical dependency experience of one year preferred.
