• You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of the patient, following standards of care and disease specific protocols. • You will plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. • You will provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN’s scope of practice and in accordance with established policies. • You will provide education and emotional support appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance and incorporate patient / family teaching into all aspects of nursing practice. • You will be a resource for our Medical City hospitals in the East Pod: Dallas, Denton, Frisco, Las Colinas, Lewisville, McKinney, and Plano. • You will be at your assigned hospital for a duration of 12 weeks at a time.

Education / License / Certifications:
BSN required within 24 months of hire
Current Texas RN License
Current Healthcare Provider BLS, ACLS and NRP issued by the American Heart Association required
Professional Nursing Organization Membership strongly encouraged.
Certification in area of specialty preferred.
Fetal heart monitoring, AWHONN and other HCA required courses for L&D nurses in accordance with department education schedule.
Minimum 18 months experience within an acute care hospital with a minimum one year in a specialty area.
