Cache Valley Hospital 

Since it was established in 2000, Cache Valley Hospital has delivered high quality, cost-effective care to people who live and work in Cache, Box Elder and Rich counties as well as southern Idaho and western Wyoming communities. POSITION SUMMARY: The Coordinator Infection Prevention is responsible for the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the infection prevention and control programs for Cache Valley Hospital. Implementation is accomplished through performing surveillance, consultation and education regarding prevention and control activities under the direction of the Director Quality/Risk Management. The Coordinator Infection Prevention serves as an internal consultant in regards to data collection, analysis, reporting, and team facilitation in relation to improving patient outcomes related to healthcare associated infections and infectious diseases. The Coordinator Infection Prevention is responsible for coordination, facilitation and leadership of infection prevention and control activities related to patient and health care worker safety and quality/performance improvement activities.

Employee Health nurse is responsible for developing, administering and evaluating occupational health services {prevention and control of communicable diseases and work-related illnesses, accidents and injuries}. This position promotes safety practices in collaboration with Risk Management, the Safety Officer and Workers' Comp Coordinator as well as with staff and management employees. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.  BSN preferred.  Proficient oral and written communication skills. 

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

  • Minimum of three years clinical nursing required. Has knowledge of state regulatory agency standards related to health care organizations.  Cognitive and technical knowledge and the ability to progressively manage care delivery across the continuum of care.  The ability to retrieve, communicate and present data and information both verbal and in writing.  Must be flexible with work scheduling.  Involves discretion and independent action within prescribed limits.
