Supervises the Occupational Medicine Clinic and staff. Assures quality services and patient care. Oversees the day-to-day operation of the clinic and assumes responsibility and accountability for the management of human and physical resources. Plans, directs and manages budget. Collaborates with the Occupational Medicine Physician to promote internal and external customer satisfaction in the delivery of quality patient care & service for clients. Oversees off-site clinics. Responsible for meeting JCAHO Standards, CARF standards, complying with Corporate & West Florida Healthcare policy and procedures, and State and Federal regulations. Follows policies and procedures of West Florida Hospital. Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to WFH standards of behavior.
Demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership. Manages stress appropriately and can make decisions under pressure and handle multiple priorities. Demonstrates knowledge base of occupational health nursing and basic management principles. Job requires periods of standing, sitting, stooping, bending, walking and talking. Attendance is essential to this role
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years management experience in a healthcare setting required.
- Organizational, management, critical thinking, communication, interpersonal, and multi-tasking skills in a detail-oriented, customer-focused organization are required.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- 2 year Associate Degree (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)
- Active Florida RN license required.
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse, CAOHC audiometric tester, NIOSH pulmonary function tester a plus.
