Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process – assessment, care planning, implementation, and reassessment – for identified patient populations per the Colorado Nurse Practice Act. Documents patient care administered. Promotes interdisciplinary communication and care. The delivery of care is based on the age, physical, psychological, cultural, safety, and learning needs of the individual patient. Demonstrates basic and unit specific competencies. CNAs.
Call requirement: 1-2 weeknights per month; one 24 hour Saturday or Sunday every 4 weeks. Holiday call: 1 winter and 1 summer holiday
EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required) (BSN preferred)
- Colorado RN license (required)
- Compact RN license or Colorado RN license accepted upon hire, CO license required within 90 days of hire
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)
- ACLS (required)
- PALS (required)
- 1-3 years- PACU, Ambulatory, or Critical Care / ED experience required
