What would you do in this role?
1 Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.
2 Performs all mammographic procedures.
3 Observant of patients’ conditions. Notifies physician or supervisor of unusual occurrence.
4 Practices radiation safety as described in Federal standards, utilizing ALARA policy.
5 Understands and operates electronic information systems, to include eMAR, Meditech, and Pacs.
6 Compiles appropriate records to expedite results.
7 Assists with reception of patients and enters orders into electronic information system.
8 Demonstrates ability to perform quality control functions daily inclusive of MQSA Quality Control
functions for mammography.
9 Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of Mammography and to meet the continuing education requirements of regulatory agencies and ARRT.
10 Performs other procedures as assigned (stereotactic BX, needle locs, bone density studies)
Required - Experience as a registered mammograher.
Preferred - One year experience as mammographer in a hospital environment.
Required - Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. ARRT-M registered.
Preferred - As above, with successful completion of formal computer courses.
