The duties and responsibilities of the MRI Supervisor include but are not limited to:
Provides first line supervision for MRI.
Coordinates schedules. Participates in selection and evaluation of new employees.
Inventories supplies daily.
Participates in review and revision of protocols.
Participates in evaluation and selection of equipment. In conjunction with staff members, assures that equipment functions as required.
Participates in development and implementation of Quality Improvement goals.
Performs procedures as required.
Transfers and positions the patient in a safe manner.
Understands and operates relevant electronic information systems.
Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of MRI to meet the continuing education requirements of regulatory agencies.
Initiates patient teaching including family and/or significant others.
Assures information for Kronos is correct and current.
Participates in the educational process (supervision, evaluation, and instruction) of radiography students.
Participates in Radiation Right and Dose Watch activities to ensure ALARA concepts are followed.
Creates, monitors and reports of dose alerts on a continuing basis
Operates Meditech Information System efficiently.

Required – Five years combined experience as CT/MRI technologist.
Preferred -Five years experience in a lead tech capacity in a hospital environment with ARRT(MR) Registry.
Required -Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Registered by ARRT with advanced MRI certification
